Woodhaven Baptist Deaf Church is committed to obeying the Lord Jesus Christ. Our church is established for the purpose of (1) worshipping God (2) ministering to everyone (3) evangelizing unbelievers (4) fellowshipping in God’s love (5) discipling believers.
Matthew 28:18-20 says, “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.” NKJV
Our Cell Groups are established because of Jesus’ command for us to “go”. There are 7 Cell Groups in the Houston area as we “go” out to the Deaf Community. We are going out to “make disciples”.
God loves you and only He has the answers to real life problems. God has proven His love for you by sending Jesus into the world to die on the cross for your sins. Did you know that you are special to God? God loves you and Woodhaven Baptist Deaf Church loves you too.
John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” NKJV
Another reason for our Cell Groups is to show you God’s personal love. We all have needs. We need friends, love, support, and encouragement. Jesus commands us to love God and love others also.
Mark 12:30-31says, “And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." NKJV
Woodhaven Baptist Deaf Church wants to obey these commands of Jesus. That is why we have our Cell Groups. We are “going” out to “make disciples”. We have good news! God loves us and gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him will have everlasting life.
We hope to see you at one of our Cell Group meetings. As Philip told Nathanael in John Chapter One, “Come and see Jesus of Nazareth”. We invite you also to come and see our wonderful Jesus as we study the Bible together.
